Khalil Greene on the Block

From mlb.com

Greene is an interesting player to watch. Last year was horrible, but if he plays like has before last season he's a more than viable short stop. He has a good reputation as a defender (+ 7 in Dewan's +/- system in 2007.) What's interesting with Greene are his home road splits (career).

I know Petco's a tough place to bat, but jeez, that's ridiculous. Greene's better than a league average hitter away from Petco, he's got the glove, and he's being shopped around. I think he could land in Tampa Bay. The Rays have the kind of farm system where they can afford to trade away a talented prospect for a relatively short term fix at SS. Greene benefits by playing in TB, the Rays benefit by upgrading over Bartlett... everybody wins.
